Northwest new energy power installed capacity increases 40 times in 8 years

According to reports, in the past decade, new energy in Northwest China has shown explosive growth, becoming the fastest growing region in the "Three North" region. In the eight years from 2009 to 2017, the new energy installed capacity of Northwest Power Grid increased by 40 times, and the installed load ratio of new energy in some regions has surpassed that of European countries. In Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia and Xinjiang, the new energy penetration rate (new energy installation / power load) has exceeded 100% (the largest one in Gansu is 134%), which is basically the same as that in Germany, Denmark and other new energy rich countries. With the rapid increase of new energy installed capacity, the northwest electric power regulation and control sub center of the State Grid takes innovative measures to explore the new energy consumption space in the grid, improve the channel transmission capacity, and improve the new energy consumption level.
In 2017, the new energy generation capacity of Northwest Power Grid increased by 36.4% year-on-year to 110.37 billion kwh; the proportion of new energy generation capacity to total power consumption increased by 4.5% year-on-year
